About CATOWA

The Canadian Tug Of War Association (CATOWA) is the governing body for the sport of tug-of-war in Canada.  We are a member of the Tug Of War International Federation (TWIF) which is in turn a member of the General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF).  TWIF is an International Olympic Committee  (IOC) recognized Sports Federation.  TWIF has 34 member countries, and 23 candidate member countries.  The Canadian Tug Of War Association is also a class "E" member of the Canadian Olympic Committee.
