CANADIAN LAW ENFORCEMENT

BRAMPTON, ON - April 30, 2004
Incorporated in the Province of Ontario in 1987, as a non profit organization, the Games, under different names, have been held annually since 1977. This year's competitions will be run at a variety of locations throughout Brampton and will be open to firefighters, emergency personnel, correction officers, the military and police officers from all across Canada. On May 31st through June 5th, the City
of Brampton will play host to the Canadian Law Enforcement Games.
Co-sponsored by the Ontario Law Enforcement Athletic Association, the
Peel Police and the Ontario Correctional Institute, the games will offer
a variety of team and individual sports including traditional events
such as soccer, swimming and track as well as job specific challenges
such as pistol, and service dog competitions. A tug-of-war
competition is also scheduled for Friday June 4th, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. at
the Ontario Corrections Institute located at McLaughlin Road and Queen
Street in Brampton, Ontario.
