in its format and frequency of publication. Since its inauguration
in July, 2003, the periodical has been published six times a year
(every second month).

STREETSVILLE, ON - June 6, 2004
A large
crowd was on hand for the second annual tug-of-war tournament
held today on the Streetsville Memorial Park Island in
Mississauga. The event was organized by the Peel Regional
Police and the Ontario Tug-of-War Association and featured 720K and
catchweight classes for the men's teams as well as a catchweight
class for the ladies.

LONDON, ON - June 9, 2004
Despite attempts to recruit teams
that had previously competed at the Can-Am Police-Fire Games as well
as bringing on local law enforcement clubs from the region,
organizers were forced to cancel plans to go ahead with the 2004
event that had been scheduled for July 14th in Grand Bend, Ontario.

On
April 23rd and 24th the TWIF Congress was held in
Cento, Italy. Cento is the host town of the 2005 European Championships.

KITCHENER, ON - June 4, 2004
The
Waterloo Region District School Board held its annual track and field
meet on May 27th through June 1st at Centennial Stadium in
Kitchener. The event which has been a tradition in the region
since 1969, is open to all grades 7 and 8 students from the 33 schools
across the Region of Waterloo.

EMBRO, ON - May 8, 2004
The
Executive Committee of the Ontario Tug-of-War Association met on
Tuesday, May 4th, 2004 in Embro, Ontario at the home of Ron Totten,
treasurer of the association. Malcolm Monteith called the
meeting to follow up on items that had arisen at the annual meeting of
council held in April and to chart the course for the new executive in
2004.
