ACCIDENT CLAIMS LIFE OF ZORRA COMPETITOR

EMBRO, ON - November 19, 2004

Sadly and suddenly on November 18, 2004, Zorra lost its youngest puller as the result of a single vehicle accident near her hometown of Embro. Katelynn Innes was a first year puller with the Zorra Ladies and had previous experience on her high school team in Ingersoll as well.

Besides being a valued member of  the Zorra tug-of-war club, Katelynn was an active Grade 11 Honour Student at Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute; a long-time accomplished  "Gold Test Skater" with the Zorra Skating Club; a 4-H Club member and Junior Leader and an active member of Knox United Church in Embro.

Katelynn was well known for attending pulls and practices wearing her shorts and cowboy boots, but will be most remembered for her luminous smile.

The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church in Embro on Monday, November 22 with interment in North Embro Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to Embro Firefighters Rescue Unit Fund, Embro Branch #318 Royal Canadian Legion or Zorra Skating Club would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home in Tavistock, Ontario (519-655-2431).

The Zorra Tug-of-War Club thanks the other clubs who sent flowers and attended services for Katelyn.  She will be missed dearly and thought of often by her many friends in the tug-of-war community.
